Skin cancer surgery requires the same precision and attention to detail as other areas of plastic and reconstructive surgery. This is especially true for lesions on the face, ears, or neck, where reconstruction often involves careful planning to restore both function and appearance.
One of my favourite authors, Malcolm Gladwell, writes in Outliers about the “10,000-hour rule”—the idea that true mastery in any skill comes through thousands of hours of dedicated practice. I began my plastic surgery training in 2008, and I have remained deeply committed to delivering high-quality, thoughtful surgical care ever since.
